Removing the bottleneck at site access
Driver identification and asset registration are non-negotiable on many logistics sites before granting access. Traditionally, these checks happened at registration desks with administrative staff or on-site kiosks. Both situations required drivers to leave their trucks, slowing the flow of traffic on-site and causing peak-hour queues.
Peripass always pushes for innovation and improvement, so we are not scared to look at improvement possibilities for our own product. So, we’re moving more into the Mobile Driver Portal (MDP). Drivers can now handle even more from their phones without compromising control or compliance.
Our latest update brings two major kiosk-only features to mobile: Certified Persons and Asset Management.
Certified persons: identity and compliance in your pocket
Drivers can now complete identity verification directly from their phone before registration. The Mobile Driver Portal checks their certificates, such as safety qualifications, and confirms they’re valid. It also runs an automated check against your site’s blacklists, whitelists, or authorisation lists to determine access rights.
This means:
Flexible identification via phone number, manual input, or passport scanning (legacy kiosks).
No delays for repeat drivers who already meet site requirements.
Fewer risks of unqualified or unauthorised drivers entering.
If your site already uses Certified Persons at kiosks, you can now offer the same process on mobile, making access quicker and more convenient.
Asset management: smarter trailer operations
The Mobile Driver Portal now supports trailer registration for drop-offs, pick-ups, or both. Drivers simply select the operation type and provide a trailer identifier.
The system checks if the trailer already exists in the database, preventing duplicates caused by typos. If it’s a new asset, the driver can add details like licence plate, container number, or size, but only when needed.

Less congestion at site entry points.
Accurate asset records without extra admin.
Faster processing for known trailers.

This update changes the game for sites with frequent visits from the same logistics partners. Repeat drivers can manage everything from their phones without leaving their trucks. There will be no queues at kiosks, no duplicated trailer entries, and no lapses in compliance.
