VF Europe
What can you expect?

VF Europe in Sint-Niklaas is the European distribution hub of VF Corporation, handling the distribution of brands such as The North Face and Eastpak across Europe. They manage large-scale picking, packing, and outbound logistics operations with highly variable seasonal volumes, resulting in a high daily flow of inbound and outbound trucks. The site includes a large, complex yard with multiple docks and carrier flows, designed to support fast-moving, high-throughput European distribution.

“We really wanted to automate the yard access as quickly as possible. We have had a lot of issues in the past with the multitude of languages being spoken by drivers. We either had to use Google Translate, or ask someone from production or shipping who could speak the required language. Both of those options took too much time, and it made communication very difficult.”

“We chose the QuickStart bundle from Peripass, because it is quick and easy to implement, and it fits our budget” The drivers are also quick to catch on and use the kiosk themselves. “It is very rare that a driver needs help with the process, most move through the registration with ease.”

VF has recently expanded its use of Peripass with Task Management. Through the app, employees can now take photos of loads and link them directly to the right process. This enables clearer follow-up, better documentation and greater visibility across the yard.

At the gate
No more chaos at the reception desk, no more trucks queueing up outside the gates on the street, no more chaos of people walking between trucks in overcrowded parking lots.
On the yard
How do you ensure safety compliance, a quick truck turnaround, and optimal usage of your available parking and loading docks?
In the control tower
Automated task assignments prevent yard operators from idling, allowing for productivity without complicated walkie-talkie communication or task allocation delays.
