One of the great improvements that Peripass makes to any logistics flow is the quick and easy check-ins for drivers at a kiosk. By letting them complete the check-in flow, all their information gets saved in the visitor log, and their shipment can be dispatched to an open loading dock or parking space.

However, on busy sites with recurring drivers or sites with limited parking space, even this system can be insufficiently quick. That is why Peripass has developed the mobile driver portal!

What is the mobile driver portal?

It’s in the name! Truck drivers can now follow the same check-in flow on their smartphones as they would at the kiosk. No app required! How does that work? Well, drivers arriving at your site scan the QR code that has been put up on the parking lot or use the custom link you sent them. This takes them to an online Peripass portal, where they check in. The drivers can do all of this in-cab and the portal prefills certain personal information, so they don’t need to put in their phone number every time they need to enter your site.

The mobile driver portal allows sites with many recurring drivers or limited parking spaces to speed up check-in and handle more volume. Team leaders can prioritise specific flows, making truck processing quicker and more efficient.

The mobile driver portal increases safety in your parking lots. Allowing more drivers to check in with the kiosk will reduce pedestrian traffic on your parking lot or site. It is even an option to have drivers park a bit further away from the entrance and wait there until they receive the SMS with details to enter.
